REASON: In many cases, a Broker does in fact offer their customers the best loans and rates compared to alternative Mortgage Bankers, In-House Loan Officers, or others who represent banks, credit unions, finance companies, and large mortgage companies. Because, these alternative types of loan representatives are usually restricted to offering their only their own company's loan programs and rates. While a true Independent Broker can offer his clients the best loans and rates from lenders nationwide!
 
BROKERS OFTEN GIVE
THE BEST SERVICE

 
REASON: Typically, in an A+ credit loan type situation, the borrower may find they are pleased with the overall services provided by any of the mentioned loan facilities. However, since most of these representatives are salaried employees with in-house loan qualification and rate guideline retrictions, they are often more successful with easy to process types of loans. And when there are any problems with title, credit, income, debt qualification etc., then they often reject the loan or raise the rate. Why? Because the loan becomes more difficult for them to get approved. The Independent Broker on the other hand, has an advantage in placing such loans. Because, the Broker tends to be more experienced in all types of loan placement and processing.

Brokers gain much of their business through satisfied client referrals. And often tend to be more motivated towards customer satisfaction. And why not! It is their livelihood on the line! Since brokers are not salaried employees, they are often more motivated to spend the extra time needed with each individual client and loan. Partially, this is due to the fact that they ONLY GET PAID FOR THEIR SERVICES WHEN THEY SUCCESSFULLY ACHIEVE THEIR CLIENT'S LOAN. Thats shows confidence and service!

 
BROKERS, BANKERS ETC.,
ARE NOT ALL THE SAME

 
REASON: First, don't confuse a mortgage banker with a broker. They are not the same at all. The mortgage banker works for a bank. The independent broker works with various lenders. Next, is the difference between a true independent broker (loan officer) verses a loan officer or broker who works within the limits of the loan offerings and rates of his/her own company. Such as banks, credit unions, finance companies, and some of the larger mortgage companies. The true independent mortgage broker, like myself, certainly works with the greatest flexibility in seeking and placing a variety of loan types
 
ABOUT ME AND THE
LOAN INDUSTRY

 
The loan industry has grown to become so large, and the need for the many various loan types and services are so vast, that it sometimes becomes too impersonal. The reason for this I assume, is that their staffs are very, very busy. And so they have a limited amount of time to spend on any one particular loan application.


I believe that each client loan requires that I understand their personal situation, needs, and goals in order to do my job properly. There are many loan strategies available. However, in order to perform such loan strategies correctly, I must uderstand my client's time fames, income forecasts etc.

People and their loans often just seem to get lost in the shuffle at many banks etc. But I make all my clients my high priority; for this reason I only accept a reasonable number of clients at any given time. This way, I know I can service all my clients properly. I feel all consumers should be able to rely upon their chosen broker, banker, or loan officer to represent them professionally. Furthermore, I believe consumers are sometimes placed in the wrong loans, with either needlessly too high of an interest rate or charged excessive fees. A good loan representative can avoid these types of problems and get their clients a good loan and rate.

 
YOUR SELECTION OF A
LOAN REPRESENTATIVE

 
I realize that you have your choice of selecting between many different brokers, bankers, and loan officers to represent you in your next mortgage related loan. But please don’t just assume they are all the same. As I have menioned before, many of these loan officers are restricted to offering only their own banks or company’s loan programs and rates. While I on the other-hand, as an independent broker have access to about every loan program and lender in the country!

Then there is the issue as to these various representatives themselves. And how their individual efforts and abilities have plenty to do with the final resulting loan and rate you receive. Many representatives just don’t do the proper research to secure you with the best loan possible. Or in some cases the loan and rate are pretty good, but the fees are a bit excessive. This is where I feel I am often of the greatest help to my clients, during the loan selection and processing phases. I work harder at doing a better overall job than most loan representatives seem to do. I believe it just boils down to my enjoying my work and feeling compelled to spend the extra time needed with my clients and their loan needs.
